Position Title:

Video Studio Manager-HSO Marketing Creative-Mount Sinai Hospital-Full Time-Days

Position Summary:

The Video Studio Manager/Videographer/Producer/Editor will oversee all studio operations, as well as shooting, producing, and editing video content for the Department of Marketing and Communications at the Mount Sinai Health System. This individual will collaborate with multidisciplinary departments of the organization and coordinate with the Assistant Vice President and Chief of System Creative and Design, as well as the Associate Director of Digital Assets to support the Health System’s video content needs. This role requires a mix of creative vision, technical, and seasoned managerial skills. The Studio Manager is responsible for developing engaging video content for the Health System’s many audiences, and the videos must instill the institution’s mission, vision, and values. Video content must be memorable and differentiate the Mount Sinai Health System from its competitors as a world-leading medical provider, pioneering research institute, and innovator in medical education.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or MBA preferred

Experience Requirements

  • 10-years experience or more in all aspects of Videography and Project Management

Computer Skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced

  • Adobe Creative Suite: Advanced

  • Proficiency in Adobe’s video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro)

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and After Effects

General Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient with video project management: preproduction planning and logistics, lighting, and all aspect in shooting, and post-production editing.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and specific editing workflows.

  • Self-motivated to complete tasks on time.

  • Ability to shoot with DSLR’s and Sony CCD camera is preferred.

  • Strong skills in storytelling and effectively communicating creative approaches to video content.

  • Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary.

  • Knowledge of health care regulations and patient confidentiality considerations.

  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $87,692.00 - $131,538.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:

  • Developing a comprehensive video content strategy aligned with business goals.

  • Identifying key video content needs across platforms and channels.

  • Setting video production budgets and managing expenditures.

Team Management:

  • Leading, managing, and mentoring the team of video professionals, including freelance videographers, editors, and producers, and partnering closely with on-staff and freelance graphic designers.

  • Assigning tasks, delegating responsibilities, and monitoring project timelines.

  • Evaluating team performance and providing feedback. Partnering closely with in-house marketing/communications teams, including service line/hospitals/network/social media/digital/strategic partnerships/internal communications/strategic communications.

  • Active part of the Strategic Communication team supporting System Executive Office video needs and responsibilities

Creative Direction:

  • Partnering with the Creative team to define the visual style and tone of video content to align with brand identity.

  • Overseeing script development, storyboarding, and preproduction processes.

  • Ensuring high-quality video production across all projects.

Production Oversight:

  • Managing the video production workflow from concept to delivery.

  • Monitoring production schedules and addressing any issues that arise.

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather necessary assets and approvals.

Quality Control:

  • Implementing quality standards for video content.

  • Reviewing final video edits and ensuring consistency with brand guidelines as well as HIPAA compliance.

  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Tracking video performance metrics (views, engagement, conversion rates).

  • Analyzing data to identify trends and optimize future video strategies.

  • Presenting insights to key decision-makers to inform business decisions.
