Job Description
The Associate Researcher is an entry laboratory research position, responsible for conduct of routine and standardized experiments using techniques specific to the assigned research project under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or a senior researcher. This individual assists in the interpretation of research outcomes and may be responsible for lab and clerical support. S/he analyzes and assists in interpreting research outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in science or related field preferred, or combination of relevant research experience and education
0-2 years of research/laboratory experience
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do: Under supervision of the Dr. Merad, a MD-PhD with extensive laboratory experience, at the Icahn Shool of Medicine at Mount Sinai:
Perform various standard experimental assays including but not limited to: PCR, flow cytometry, MICSSS, cell and tissue culture.
Perform high-dimensional cutting-edge technologies, such as: CITEseq, single-cell RNAseq, CyTOF.
Conduct various IRB approved laboratory human samples digestions and isolations.
Collaborates with other team members in developing plans, organization analysis and review of experimental data for publication and presentation.
Learns new experimental procedures, as necessary.
Ensures work is in compliance with the currently approved protocols, with Good Clinica Research Practice (GCP), and with applicable regulatory requirement(s).
Assist in organization and upkeep of laboratory supplies, workspace, and equipment.
Work independently and collaboratively in a matrixed environment.
Be able to successfully work with other team members in experiments and laboratory upkeep.
Be well organized, enthusiastic about science, and self-motivated.
Proficient use of excel, word, power point and computational software is necessary.

Compensation Statement
Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $16.5 - $34.1212 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
