The Valley Medical Group is part of the Valley Health System. Valley Medical Group (VMG) is a multispecialty group practice comprised of physicians and advanced practice providers representing more than 50 medical and surgical specialties. VMG brings together experts in primary care, pediatrics, oncology, cardiology, obstetrics & gynecology, and various medical and surgical specialties. VMG believes the relationships between its doctors and providers are central to success. Valley Medical Group (VMG) has 1,159 employees, including nearly 350 physicians and over 150 advanced practice practitioners representing more than 50 medical and surgical specialties. Formed under the auspices of Valley Health System, VMG employs physicians based at the main Hospital, The Luckow Pavilion, primary and walk-in care centers, and about 48 locations and 92 practices throughout communities served by Valley in both New Jersey and New York.
The Valley Hospital is one of the busiest hospitals with 431 beds, approximately 46,000 admissions annually, over 70,000 patients treated in the Emergency Department, and over 3,500 babies born. Valley has over 3,000 volunteers, is not unionized, and with 5,500 employees, is one of the largest employers in Bergen County. The Hospital ‘s primary service area includes 32 towns in northwestern Bergen County, home to over 460,000 people, and it has expanded its footprint well beyond that area. The construction of The New Valley Hospital, due to be completed in late 2023, will be a 900,000-square-foot state-of-the-art healthcare destination site on a 40-acre campus in Paramus.
Position Summary:
Valley-Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Care is seeking an academically oriented BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist for the Valley Center for Blood Disorders. Subspecialty expertise in a specific area of Hematology is desirable. Experienced clinicians as well as graduating fellows will be considered. Protected time and funding are available for clinical research.
The successful applicant will have an ambulatory practice and share in an anticipated 1 in 8 hematology/oncology call schedule. Requests for flexible work schedules will be considered. Teaching oportunities will be available in 2024 when Valley opens its Internal Medicine Residency. Appointment to the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at a level commensurate with experience and academic potential is anticipated.

Position Qualifications:
MD or DO
Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey
Board certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology in accordance with the Hospital ‘s Medical Board Rulings regarding Board Certification
